Doctor's practice Private doctor for orthopaedics in 1090 Vienna

At my private doctor’s practice, you’ll receive an appointment quickly without a waiting period.
Since I am a private doctor, for one thing, this means you can come to me without a referral; for another, it enables me to take more time for you and better attend to you.
After each appointment, you receive an invoice, which you may pay in cash or with a bank card. You can submit this invoice to your health insurance fund. They will refund you for part of the amount.
If you have arranged an appointment at my private doctor’s practice, the procedure is as follows:

Initial consultation
Please bring all documents such as X-ray images, MRI scans and findings to our initial consultation (please also bring those related to concomitant diseases!).
During an extensive medical history interview, we will get to the bottom of your pain:
- How are you doing?
- What level of pain has your pain reached by now?
- When does this pain occur?
- During which activities do you feel restricted?
- etc.
Then I take a closer look at your affected joint and check its mobility, rotation, flexion and extension.
If new X-ray images are necessary, we are able to produce these right there on site at the practice.
At the end of the initial consultation, together we find the non-surgical or surgical therapy steps that are right for you, so that you can lead an active life free from pain once more.
Please allow plenty of time for this initial consultation. An initial visit usually lasts half an hour.
Here you can book an initial consultation right away.
Non-surgical therapies
Many orthopaedic ailments and pains in the knee and hip joints can be treated with conservative therapies without the need for surgical intervention.
The following are helpful, for example:
- Injections – these can be administered to you conveniently and without further hassle at the doctor’s practice.
- Specific physiotherapy – for this, you receive a prescription for a physiotherapist of your choice.
- Braces for the knee help to alleviate pain.

Hip and knee surgery
If hip or knee surgery is necessary, I operate on you either at the Klinik Penzing (1140 Vienna)(all health insurance funds) or at the Evangelical Hospital (1180 Vienna).

In my opinion, endoprosthetics and the replacement of damaged hip and knee joints is one of the greatest orthopaedic success stories of the 20th century. Thanks to constant scientific research and technological advances, the replacement of damaged hip and knee joints is helping more and more people to achieve pain-free movement and a better quality of life.
Post-treatment & follow-up appointments
Following hip or knee surgery, I accompany you closely with regular follow-up appointments at my private doctor’s practice in Lazarettgasse (in 1090 Vienna).
